Help requests

Every call for help comes with the five Ws.

Anyone on the team can ask for help from any screen. Leaders see who asked, what kind of help, where, when it came in and why, along with where the request stands: received, acknowledged, assigned and accepted.

  • Your church chooses who gets notified and who can send Urgent requests
  • Pick your post or any building or door on the campus map, and add a photo when it helps

Emergencies

When it’s serious, every screen knows.

A leader activates a lockdown, evacuation, severe weather or other emergency. A red banner appears on every screen with your church’s procedure one tap away, and phones that allow Church TAK notifications get an alert, even when the app is closed.

Campus mapping

A map your team and first responders read the same way.

We map your campus onto a lettered grid with every building, exterior door, post and piece of safety equipment marked. “WC-01” or “grid E4” means the same spot to your volunteers, the security room and the officers you share it with.

ATAK and TAK Server are products of the TAK Product Center. Church TAK is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the TAK Product Center or any government agency.

Privacy and security

Built for information you can’t afford to leak.

Floor plans, rosters and incident reports are sensitive. Church TAK is designed around keeping them in the right hands.

Each church stands alone

Your people, maps and records are kept separate from every other church. Every permission is checked on the server.

No background tracking

The Church TAK app shares a phone’s location once, when the person chooses to, and the map shows how old it is. Team members on ATAK share their position the way ATAK normally does.

Access ends when service ends

Remove someone and their access ends right away, including their TAK certificates. Nobody joins without an admin’s approval.

You decide how long photos stay

Set how long photos are kept, and erase them when you need to. Restricted records stay with the people you choose.

A record of what changed

Activity history shows who changed what and when, so leaders can review what happened after the fact.

Your data isn’t for sale

We don’t sell church data, show ads or use your records to train AI. Church TAK is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States.

Is Church TAK a security company?

No. Church TAK is software for your team. Your church decides its own procedures, people and response. We don’t provide security consulting, training or certification, and Church TAK is not an emergency dispatch or monitoring service. In an emergency, call 911.

Do volunteers need TAK or special equipment?

No. Volunteers use the Church TAK iPhone app, or the web app in any browser on Android phones, tablets and computers. TAK is optional and only matters for team members who already carry ATAK.

Does Church TAK track people’s locations?

No. The Church TAK app doesn’t track anyone in the background. A person shares a location only when they choose to, for example when checking in to a post or asking for help, and they review it before it’s sent. The map shows where each location came from and how old it is.

If some of your team carry ATAK, their devices share position the way ATAK normally does, and those positions show on your church’s map.

Will this replace our radios?

It doesn’t have to. Many teams keep radios for quick voice traffic and use Church TAK for what radios can’t do: the schedule, Help requests with a location and a record, photos, the campus map and checklists.

What happens when a leader isn’t there?

Church TAK keeps working. Volunteers can take open spots and cover a no-show themselves, and Help requests go to the people your church chooses, so nothing depends on one person.

Is the iPhone app available now?

The iPhone app is in beta through Apple’s TestFlight while we finish our pilot. Ask us about access for your team.

The web app works today on any phone or computer, including Android. One exception for now: if your church adds a checklist people complete before checking in to a post, that check-in needs the iPhone app.

How do people join our church in the app?

An admin sends an email invitation or shares a join link or QR code. An admin approves every request to join, so nobody gets in without you. When someone steps away, removing them ends their access to your church.

Can we work with local law enforcement?

Yes, if you choose to. With Advanced TAK, we can connect your church’s TAK channels to a partner agency’s TAK Server. By default your church only receives. You decide what the agency sees, and we pause or end sharing as soon as you ask.

Can you map our campus?

Yes. Campus mapping is an optional one-time service. We map your buildings, doors, lots and posts, on site or from your plans. Once your campus map is in place, you can add site plans and floor plans yourself.

We have more than one campus. Does that work?

Yes. Each campus can have its own workspace with its own map, schedule and team, and people can belong to more than one. Multi-campus churches get one quote that covers every campus. Tell us about your campuses and we’ll talk it through.
